Hello! My name is Estelle Schneider and I would like to welcome you to my eportfolio.
This portfolio will highlight my work as a candidate in the Masters of Public Health program in Community Health Education of San Francisco State University.
I have been an activist for political and social change for as long as I can remember; it runs in my blood. I believe that health care is a human right and I became a health professional in order to work toward that goal.
I believe in community-based approaches to solving health problems and in the popular education methodology that believes people are capable of being agents of change. Health disparities and inequities in our health care system require profound and creative solutions. My decision to enter the public health program was a way for me to expand my skills, build on my experience, and develop and deepen strategies and tools for change.
